SUPPERCLUB COLLAB x CITIZENS OF SOIL
In October we hosted a wonderful event at Studio Kitchen in Hackney with olive oil industry champions Citizens of Soil.
Over four delicious courses, we delivered an evening celebrating collaboration, and community incorporating Citizens of Soil Extra Rare Portuguese Olive Oil into our seasonal menu. This oil is made by one of their inspiring producers Ana Cardoso, on her 10 hectare plot, where she farms *and* mills award-winning oils herself.
We loved working with Citizens of Soil because our values align. Their business is built around championing female producers who work in harmony with nature and the seasons and prioritise soil health to benefit human and planetary health.
Kali created a vibrant vegetable-forward menu, highlighting the rich peppery notes of the oil, the dinner was accompanied by a range tasting from olive oil sommelier Sarah who showcased their small batch of multi-award-winning Portuguese oil.
Guests were welcomed with Dirty Martinis created with 58 & CO Olive Oil Vodka. A Hackney-based, female-founded distillery, they created this vodka using excess olive oil from Citizens of Soil.
The menu was served alongside beautiful Portuguese wines by Marta Vine. Marta’s all about celebrating Portuguese wines, indigenous grapes, and organic and sustainable producers and so her wines fit perfectly here!
